The Manor House, an imposing structure occupying a commanding position overlooking the bay of Loggos, was built in the 19th century as the home of one of the chief families on the island, owners among other things of the old soap factory whose tall chimney dominates the northern end of Loggos harbour.  The staff who worked at the Manor House, which has considerable land attached to it, were housed in a separate building alongside the main house.  The upper half of this building was some years ago converted into two self-contained apartments (the lower floor no longer being in use).

Stephanos apartment is the half of the old staff quarters closer to the main house, and it has private use of a secluded garden area behind the flat, with seaviews over the roof to Corfu and the mainland.  The inside, recently refurbished, comprises a twin bedroom with windows opening out onto Loggos bay, a kitchen/living room with air-conditioning, electric hob and small oven, and a new showerroom.  This kitchen/living room, whose windows also look out onto the bay, has a double sofabed for a third and even fourth guest, if required.   

Stephanos’s position in relation to nearby amenities could not be more convenient.  The village tavernas and shops are a two-minute walk in one direction and the first beach, known as Levrechio, is just three minutes on foot in the other direction.  Like its twin, Spiros next door, Stephanos apartment overlooks the road which runs down into Loggos but, while it is the local bus route – the bus comes through about three times a day in each direction – the road’s traffic levels rarely reach those of an unclassified country lane in England.  From the road, the entrance to Stephanos is reached via the main gate of the Manor House

Nearest Beaches
It is a short walk to the village beach in one direction and Levrekio Beach with its taverna in the other direction. Another 5 minutes walk will bring you to Marmari beach a very pretty option along the coast.
